My incredible Year As A Vegan Travel Writer/Blogger!

I have been blessed so much in the past year and a half from my travel writing and blogging that I would now like to share some of these moments from my incredible journey thus far!

Since creating my website and vegan travel blog:
1. I have been on a speaker’s panel at a travel conference (Meet, Plan, Go). That’s me in blue dress.

2. I spoke onstage at this year’s Boston Globe Travel Show (spoke on trips&travel writing)
3. A vegetarian-based travel agency is allowing me to potentially host a three week trip to India next year(couldn’t fit in their schedule this year)
4. Travel blogger company/website is potentially offering me a travel writer’s gig for upcoming new venture. Sending me overseas to write about and promote international tours and accommodations.
5. I’ve been approached to collaborate on veggie-friendly travel guides for a publisher.
6. I almost was placed on speaker’s schedule at huge North American Vegetarian Society Summerfest in PA. Though it could not fit in schedule this year, there is potential for next year!
7. I have been asked to write guest posts for many websites and blogs.
8. I have been invited to be on panel for a Boston Business Association dinner next week to promote veganism.
9. A New England organization wants to connect me with their state senator to promote vegan travel and dining with my writings.
10. I get to try great food and desserts at markets and restaurants across USA when they hear of my book and blog.
11. A Hollywood publicist found my blog and asked me to interview her client: the lead guitarist of 1980’s rock group Def Leppard! The guitarist called me in April for the interview. My interview with Def Leppard’s vegan guitarist Phil Collen
12. Def Leppard guitarist asked me to do a followup interview during his concert tour! A few days ago, I got VIP ticket, backstage pass, afterparty invite, tour of tour bus&dressing room, & got to hang with the lead guitarist of my favorite 80’s band Def Leppard! I was given parking spot reserved for the “Press”, as I am a writer/blogger. I enjoyed interviewing a member of my favorite 80s group and having a private tour and time before and after the show backstage!

16. VegDining.com recently invited me to be their ambassador f”ood writer/restaurant reviewer” for the Boston area.

My goal is to be the Travel Channel’s first vegan travel host! After my writing led to some speaking opportunities, I found that public speaking is not as difficult as one may think and is in fact, invigorating!

All in all, this past year and a half has presented me with many incredible opportunities stemming from my travel writings and blogging! I feel greatly appreciative and will definitely continue to share healthy, vegan travel tips with my readers in every welcoming forum and venue!

Peace and happy, vegan travels!! 🙂
