Maria’s Advice-Global Vegan Accommodations

Hello Vegan Travelers,
As you are well aware, many times during your travels you may be staying at a hotel or inn which does not provide vegan meals in their on site cafe. Sometimes, a vegan-friendly restaurant is not even within walking distance. This may present an issue if you need to meet a tour group and do not have time to get to a restaurant. You may also be spending your holiday in a city which is not very veggie-friendly either.

Please do not fret! There are quite a few countries in several continents which have veggie-friendly bed & breakfasts or inns. Some of them are advertised as vegetarian. However, a percentage of their restaurant menu is vegan. That portion of the menu may be anywhere from 10% to 90% vegan. Still there are other B & Bs which are 100% vegan.

The vast majority of these inns are located in rural settings, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, but close to nature. A few of them such as the one in Edinburgh, Scotland are located in the city, close to tourist attractions. Veggie-friendly inns are located in Mexico, Costa Rica, Ghana, The Gambia, Australia, New Zealand, India, Peru, Bali, Germany, Scotland, England, France, Austria, and other parts of Europe.

Another benefit (besides the vegan meals) of staying at these inns or b&bs is that they offer many benefits such as yoga, meditation, community service projects, cooking classes, and much more. They typically have a vegan-friendly, eco-friendly, nature-loving, inner peace vibe to them.

Please check the Vegan Trips & Inns tab on this site to find the links for these veggie-friendly inns.
